49th Armored Division "Lone Star" was one of 2 armored divisions of the Army National Guard. Located in the great state of Texas. Established 24th February 1947 the division provided the USA a wall of protection against the possibility of a Communist invasion via the Mexico border. The division was first activated in 1961 during the Berlin Crisis. These patches come with hook and loop backing.
